Features1. PrimerSNP is an online tool to design primers based on strain specific SNPs for multiple strains/species of microorganisms at the whole genome level. 2. The software contains two programs. a) COMN - for common primer design for homologous genes and b) SPEC - for specific primer design. The SPEC function is primarily designed for bacterial detection purpose, especially for those bacteria where multiple strains genomic information is available. [as claimed by the author] 3. The Specific primers that are designed by this program could be used for clinical pathogen detection using standard PCR. 4. Result will be mailed to the user.
